Cast-on 16+1 for pattern
Row 1 (RS): P1, K3, (K2tog) twice, (yo, K1) 3 times, yo, (SSK) twice, K1, P1
Row 2: (K1, P15) across until only 1 stitch remains of pattern stitches, K1.
Row 3: P1, K2, (K2tog) twice, yo, K1, yo, K3, yo, K1, yo, (SSK) twice, P1
Row 4: Repeat row 2.
Row 5: P1, K1, (K2tog) twice, (yo, K1) 3 times, yo, (SSK) twice, K3, P1.
Row 6: Repeat row 2.
Row 7: P1, (K2tog) twice, yo, K1, yo, K3, yo, K1, yo, (SSK) twice, K2, P1
Row 8: Repeat row 2.

    This pattern doesn’t really include a border, so your cast on could also include however many stitches wide you wanted your border to be (if any), times 2. I’m not sure how much this pattern curls, but a garter border might help with any possible curling. If it does curl, you could also try blocking it.
    Please note that I transcribed the chart as if for knitting flat! If you’re knitting in the round, replace the wrong-side Knits with Purls and vice versa.
    Also, a helpful reference for knitting chart symbols is at craftyarncouncil dot com, and search on the site ‘Knit Chart Symbols’ (I don’t know the policy for sharing links here!). Otherwise, typical stitches (as I’ve learned them) are:
    Horizontal line = Purl on RS, Knit on WS.
    Empty square = Knit on RS, Purl on WS
    Right leaning triangle = Right leaning decrease (k2tog}
    Circle = Yarnover
    Left leaning triangle = Left leaning decrease (ssk)
