  2. For those wondering, the cable symbol on the chart are either cable 6 front or cable 6 back depending on which way the long diagonal line slants. If it slants up to the right, then it’s a cable 6 back (3 sts held on the cable needle in back, work 3 sts, then work the 3 sts on the cable needle — all in k2p2 rib). If it slants up to the left, then it’s a cable 6 front (3 sts held on the cable needle in front, work 3 sts, then work the 3 sts on the cable needle — all in k2p2 rib). The confusing thing is that you’ll be purling into knit sta and knitting into purl sts to maintain the k2p2 ribbing pattern within a row.
