Where are the words? Can you tell me which shape refers to the stitch in the pattern?
I would say that the black squares are knit, the white squares are purl, circle is yarn over, then the slanted triangles are decreases which would be either ssk or k2tog depending on the slant and the triangle that faces up is a knit3 tog.
