3. Written instructions for anyone confused by the chart:

   (12 stitch repeat)

   Row 1: *p1, ssk, k3, yo, k1, yo, k3, k2tog, repeat from *, end with p1.

   Rows 2, 4, 6, & 8: *k1, p11, repeat from *, end with k1.

   Row 3: *p1, ssk, k2, yo, k3, yo, k2, k2tog, repeat from *, end with p1.

   Row 5: *p1, ssk, k1, yo, k5, yo, k1, k2tog, repeat from *, end with p1.

   Row 7: *p1, ssk, yo, k7, yo, k2tog, repeat from *, end with p1.

   Row 9: *k1, yo, k3, k2tog, p1, ssk, k3, yo, repeat from *, end with k1.

   Rows 10, 12, 14, & 16: *p6, k1, p5, repeat from *, end with p1.

   Row 11: *k2, yo, k2, k2tog, p1, ssk, k2, yo, k1, repeat from *, end with k1.

   Row 13: *k3, yo, k1, k2tog, p1, ssk, k1, yo, k2, repeat from *, end with k1.

   k = knit

   p = purl

   ssk = slip the next 2 stitches, 1 by 1, knitwise; insert the tip of the left needle from left to right into the fronts of those 2 sts and knit them together. 1 st decreased.

   yo = yarn over

   k2tog = knit two together
