1. I want to use this stitch to make a “soap bag” for a Christmas gift.
   The directions are only by chart and I am not very good at charts.
   The key says for the blank square there is no stitch. So what do I do with those stitches on my needle?
   I have knit lace before but from written instructions and the “holes” were smaller.
   I would really like written instructions please.

      5. (k, p , k, yo, k3, yo) to last 3 sts, k, p, k
      6. p, (k, p7)
      7. (k, p, k, yo, k5, yo) to last 3 sts, k, p, k
      8. p, (k, p9)
      9. (k, p, sssssssk, yo, k, yo) k, p, k
      10. p, (k, p5)
      11. (k, p , k, yo, k3, yo) to last 3 sts, k, p, k
      12. p, (k, p7)
      13. (k, p, k, yo, k5, yo) to last 3 sts, k, p, k
      14. p, (k, p9)
