Crochet Chain Stitch in a Purl Stitch to Make Plaid Look.
- With yarn at back, insert hook into purl column and pull up a loop to the right side with a crochet hook.
- Insert hook into next purl stitch and catch the yarn from the wrong side (shown here on the wrong side).
- Pull up another loop to the right side. There are now two loops on the hook.
- Draw the second loop just made through the first loop. One chain stitch is made. Continue working chain stitch into each purl stitch.
